The optical fibers are housed and protected in gel-filled stainless steel tubes. The optical module is bundled with aluminum and steel wire coated with aluminum to create a multi-layer structure.

CentraCore.
The optical fibers are housed in a central gel-filled stainless steel tube inside an aluminum tube. Aluminum coated steel wire and aluminum alloy wire are twisted around the center piece in one or more layers.

MiniCore.
The optical fibers are housed in a stainless steel tube. Aluminum coated steel wire and aluminum alloy wire are twisted around the center piece in one or more layers.
